Document permissions

As per the defined requirements of the user, suitable rights allocated to the user by the system administrator to access and/or use system functions in document creation, maintenance and/or usage.

This includes access to the document master record and/or -content as well as transactions and/or applications which allow the user to add, change, delete and/or view metadata or document content.

Detailed granularity of permissions may be collected into categories of permissions, e.g. edit includes the ability to add a document record, edit attributes and delete a document record.

A user permission profile is usually directly associated with the document class.
